Shy or Snob? | Tips to Understand which

When you first meet someone, it can be difficult to tell if they’re shy or just a snob.

Here are a few things to look for:

Do they make eye contact?

Shy people may avoid eye contact, while snobs may look down their nose at you.

Do they smile?

A shy person may not smile, while a snob may have a smirk or a condescending smile.

Do they seem interested in what you’re saying?

Shy people may not say much, while a snob may interrupt or talk over you.

Do they ask you questions?

A shy person may not ask you much, while a snob may ask you a lot of questions in an attempt to show how much they know.

Do they seem uncomfortable in social situations?

Shy people may seem awkward or out of place, while a snob may seem bored or superior.

If you’re not sure, just ask them directly if they’re shy or a snob. They may not give you a straight answer, but you’ll probably be able to tell from their response which one they are.
